Removing stickiness from tables

Does your table feel a bit sticky, even though you have wiped it down??? It could be a build up of silicon from commercial cleaners. Try this to remove the build up. Once the build up has been removed you can clean and polish with our natural furniture polish – see here for the recipe.

1/2 cup warm DYC white vinegar

1/2 cup warm water

1-2 drops liquid dish detergent

At least 3 soft lint free cloths

1
Warm the vinegar in a pot or a microwave.
2
Mix warm vinegar with warm water and add 1 -2 drops of dishwashing detergent in a spray bottle.
3
Lightly spray on the surface to be cleaned. Do not soak the furniture.
4
Using a soft, lint-free cloth, rub in the direction of the wood grain. Rotate the material often, so you’re always working with a clean spot.
5
Switch to a fresh cloth and repeat going against the grain.
6
Use another clean cloth that is damped with a small amount of plain water.
7
Polish the furniture with homemade furniture polish. See link at the top of this page for the recipe.
